Will an SSD really make my laptop faster?

What SSD size should I get?

250GB is the minimum we recommend for Windows. 500GB is the sweet spot for most users. 1TB+ if you have lots of files, games, or do video editing.

Will I lose my files during the upgrade?

No! We clone your existing drive to the new SSD. Everything — Windows, programs, files — transfers over. You won't need to reinstall anything.

What's the difference between SATA and NVMe SSDs?

NVMe is faster (3-5x) but requires a compatible slot in your laptop. SATA SSDs work in any laptop with a 2.5" drive bay. We'll check what your laptop supports.

Can I keep my old hard drive?

Yes! Some laptops have two drive slots — you can keep both. Otherwise, we can put your old drive in an external enclosure for portable backup storage.

Can you upgrade a MacBook's storage?

Older MacBooks (pre-2016) have upgradeable SSDs. Newer MacBooks have soldered storage that can't be changed. Bring your MacBook in and we'll check what's possible for your specific model.
